Hector Cardoza III, is the lead team member and Co-Founder of Altus Real Estate Group, LLC. He distinguishes himself through his professionalism, availability, and inviting character. Hector’s passion in life is to help people in any way he can. He has had the privilege of gaining friendships with those he once referred to as “clients.” His customer service skills and background in Accounting, make him the perfect combination to be the Broker of your choice.

Hector graduated in 2014 from The University of Texas at Brownsville with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. After completing his studies, he worked as an Enrollment Specialist at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Even though he enjoyed helping people in the University, his hope was to one day make the switch to pursue Real Estate. In 2016, Hector made the decision to make Real Estate his full time profession, and has not looked back. Since then, he has worked with RGV residents, relocating clients, local small businesses, foreign investors, first time investors and a national non-profit. His years of experience have exposed him to multiple scenarios. Hector knows that no real estate transaction is ever alike and he is ready to fulfill all your real estate needs.

Hector is an advocate and supporter of his hometown, Brownsville, and the RGV. Since 2013, he started volunteering in a local non-profit, United Way of Southern Cameron County (UWSCC) in their Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program. Hector has been IRS certified to file taxes for free for families and individuals who make less than $54,000. In 2016, Hector received the Volunteer of the Year Award from UWSCC. Hector also remains engaged in his community by being Board President of the Brownsville Officials Soccer Association. Additionally, Hector is a member of the Education Committee for the Brownsville Board of Realtors. The Committee’s purpose is to bring relevant programs and courses to REALTOR’s to complete their continuing education requirements and to elevate their competencies.

Nora Caballero

General Manager

Nora Caballero is Co-Founder of Altus Real Estate Group, LLC. Nora has experienced the border life by forming her educational background in Brownsville, Texas and her professional development in Matamoros, Tamaulipas. In 2015 she graduated with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting and a Bachelors of Business Administration in Management from The University of Texas at Brownsville. In 2017 she completed her Masters of Business Administration from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

In 2018 she fully integrated herself to her family owned businesses in the Ranching and Agricultural Sector, Gasoline and Diesel Fuel Filling Stations, and Real Estate Development. The diversity of the businesses have enabled her to understand multi-sectors of the Mexican economy and the impact of border economics. Her role as General Manager in Inmobiliaria y Fraccionadora Palo Verde S.A. de C.V. has allowed her to oversee residential construction projects, commercial plaza developments, property management for over 40 commercial leases, and the strategic expansion of a planned unit development, Fraccionamiento Las Villas del Lago.

Nora is also a Board Member for Asociacion Mexicana de Profesionales Inmobiliarios (AMPI) Seccion Matamoros as Director of Marketing and Social Media. As an active AMPI Member she has attended certifications and courses throughout Mexico. To this day Nora has obtained specialized certifications authorized by the Mexican Federal agency, Conocer, that is responsible for coordinating and consolidating competencies for professionals. Her two certifications are: Asesor Certificado en Promocion Especializada para Productos de Infonavit and Asesor Certificado en Comercializacion de Bienes Inmuebles.

In 2020, Nora partnered up with Hector Cardoza III to open Altus Real Estate Group, LLC. She brings her knowledge in business administration, marketing and accounting to the team. Expanding her Real Estate profession to Brownsville, Texas is a way to honor and continue her father’s legacy in the real estate profession. Nora is currently working in obtaining her Realtor license.

As a personal interest she is an active patron with “Ayudar x Ayudar Rescatistas Unidos,” an animal rescue group in Matamoros, Tamaulipas. She combined her knowledge in construction and advocacy for animal care by contributing and overseeing the constructing of a no kill shelter in Matamoros, Tamaulipas.

As first time home buyers it was very important for us to find the right realtor. Hector was there to help us and guide us in every step of the process; he would answer our phone calls and emails no matter the time.
